HI! I'm Lori Hamasaki born in Mpls,MN, transplanted to NYC 1997. After being trained at SVA with BFA in traditional animation. I worked for Bill Plympton, Since then I've freelanced/vendored as an incorporated Motion Designer mostly for advertising. I specialize in creating compelling visual narratives through dynamic typography, 2D character animation, and general motion design. My background is in preschool television, starting at Nickelodeon/Nick Jr. Little Bill/Sprout/HBO's Classical Baby/Little Airplane The Wonderpets! With my upcoming move to Japan, I've curated a Japanese portfolio. My go-to software is After Effects, Cavalry, & Cinema4D. I've enjoying learning about closed (Kling, Veo) and open source Comfy Ui ai tools as well.
I've had the privilege of delivering titles/toolkits for broadcast networks, social ads, and large-scale events.
I enjoy focusing on the details, whilst keeping a calm head, adding my zhush to the keyframes.
Collaborative by nature, I also spend free time on tutorials and hand-drawing my current WIP on the lightbox.
